Drake Ready Mix started in 2006 to deliver local solutions for contractors and builders who expect more from their concrete ready mix partner. We understand the needs of commercial and residential clients, because our founders have already walked a mile in your shoes. It’s personal for the Drake Ready Mix leadership team.

As a father-and-son team, the Drakes owned a local concrete contracting business for more than a decade, and a series of frustrating experiences led our founders to build Drake Ready Mix with one primary mission: to operate around the needs of the everyday ready mix concrete customer.

Unfortunately, shortly after establishing the business, the bubble burst on the housing market and the 2007-2009 economic crisis known as “the Great Recession” ensued. Despite the significant challenges this posed to the business, Drake Ready Mix never compromised quality or service. With an unwavering commitment to integrity and a relentless drive to persevere, our founders did not give up and developed solutions to continue operating.

Today, through the ongoing application of strategic and ingenious solutions – and always devoted to a foundation of strong ethics – Drake Ready Mix now proudly supplies concrete made at our state-of-the art production plant and operates a fleet of 100+ mixer trucks to deliver carefully calibrated, high-quality concrete to our valued clients throughout the region!
